No Wave, 1980...

I've been a big fan of James Blood Ulmer, David Murray, Amin Ali and Ronald Shannon Jackson for many years. I've seen them all play live, though not together. It's interesting to see how both Blood Ulmer and Murray have evolved their sound over the years - from a raw, intense sound to a more mainstream sound (in the case of Murray) and a more fundamental, blues sound (in the case of Blood Ulmer). This record find them both building on their early tendancies with Ali and Jackson driving them forward. This is a short but sweet recording.

Enjoy!
