Ghosts, 2001

I've been a big fan of David Liebman since I first heard his Lookout Farm  and his duet recordings with Richie Beirach back in the 70's. I first associated Liebman with the soprano sax but have come to appreciate his tenor sax playing just as much. This recording pays hommage to some of the true innovators of jazz - Coltrane, Ornette, Monk, and Ayler as well as well as a few standards that have been embraced by jazz.

Again, another cherished find at Cheap Thrills in Montreal...

Enjoy!
