Mosaic, 1991

I've enjoyed the music of Cedar Walton for several decades. I've especially loved his music with this band. I've been on a bit of a "working band" binge the past couple of weeks and I see no reason to stop now. Since those first Timeless Records releases the band has has just gotten better, in my opinion.

The liner notes, written by Loren Schoenberg, pretty well tells the story (just click on the images to get the full text):

Enjoy!

  1. I do have the first three Eastern Rebellion albums in my library, but not this one.
Sounds very nice, Ralph Moore is a pleasant surprise; I do have a copule of his album as a leader, but on this recording he plays better.
Still if I had to choose, the first Eastern Rebellion album (1975) with the great George Coleman is my favorite one; a classic.
    Thanks for the share!
