Childhood Is Forever, 1969

Pianist Steve Kuhn has had a long and varied career in jazz. He's accompanied Serge Chaloff, Kenny Dorham, John Coltrane (before McCoy Tyner joined), Stan Getz and Art Farmer, among others. He's led various trios for many years. This is what we hear with this recording. Kuhn lived in Europe from 1967 to 1970, which explains the lineup on this recording. Childhood Is Forever was released on the Charley Records label and is a fairly rare recording of his. It's short but sweet, clocking in under forty minutes. It was recorded in Paris on October 13, 1969.

Enjoy!
