Claudio Fasoli is an Italian saxophonist who would fit nicely within the ECM stable of artists. In fact, both of these recordings on the Innowa Records label include musicians who have been regular accomplices for albums recorded for Manfred Eicher's label. On the 1989 recording, Land, Kenny Wheeler and J.F. Jenny Clark join Fasoli for stark, stripped down session. On the 1990 recording, Bodies, Mick Goodrick, Palle Danielsson and Tony Oxley fill out this quartet date. These albums are jazz of the highest order!
